We encourage children to learn and grow by providing a foundation of developmentally appropriate experiences where all children can succeed in a predictable, safe and nurturing environment. We strive to provide a supportive, loving, yet ordered atmosphere every day to enhance a child’s developmental progress and also create parental piece of mind.
We believe that children learn best by doing and through meaningful play; by being offered interesting and challenging activities along with guidance, encouragement and appropriate limits. Our play-based, child-centered program reflects the integration of physical, cognitive, social, emotional, language, self-help and aesthetic areas for the total development of the child. Meaningful play encourages curiosity, discovery and problem-solving which allows individual growth and development of a positive self-image. We also recognize that parents are the child’s first teachers. Children learn best when families are involved in their educational program, and this can take on many forms both inside and outside of the classroom. Family involvement produces better students and better students mean better and more effective schools. The primary bridge between home and school is the involvement of family and community. We see child care and preschool as an extension of parent care, not as a substitute. To be beneficial, it takes all three components--Families, Staff, and Children--working together. |
